The Senior SQA Test Engineer will design and develop testing strategies, lead testing efforts, and mentor junior testers to improve software quality.
ProArch is on the lookout for a dedicated Senior SQA Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive testing strategies and executing testing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and other stakeholders, to improve product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Lead the testing efforts and coordinate with team members for effective test coverage.
- Perform manual and automated testing of applications and APIs, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
- Analyze test results, report defects, and track issues to resolution using defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to understand application architecture and identify testing needs.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on potential testability and quality concerns.
- Mentor junior testers and foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Continuously improve testing methodologies and practices based on industry trends.
Requirements
- Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with 7+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience
- Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Software Quality Assurance life cycle (STLC)
- Moderate back-end Software Quality Assurance experience
- Experience with fundamentals of programming
- Understanding of SharePoint applications, Webex, Skype, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with a working knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Knowledge of defect management tools (such as Jira)
- Knowledge and moderate understanding of Unix commands
- Knowledge of database tools (such as Oracle, SQL Server, TOAD)
- Strong SQL skills
