As a Sr. Staff People Partner supporting our global GTM & Marketing organizations, you aren't just an HR advisor—you are a strategic architect of our most valuable asset: our people. At Databricks, we don't just use technology; we define it. In this role, you will be at the forefront of integrating AI-driven insights into the talent lifecycle, ensuring our GTM and Marketing engines are fueled by high-performance culture and intelligent organizational design.

You will serve as a high-impact consultant to senior leaders, translating complex business goals into scalable people strategies. Your mission is to evolve the People Partner function into a predictive, data-first organization that enables Databricks to scale with precision and speed.

The impact you will have:

Strategic Partnership & AI Integration
  • Executive Advisory: Serve as a trusted counselor to GTM executives (C-Suite through Director) on organizational design, workforce planning, and leadership effectiveness.
  • AI-Driven Outcomes: Pioneer the use of AI and predictive analytics to identify talent gaps, forecast attrition, and optimize team structures for maximum ROI.
  • Business Alignment: Ensure the people strategy doesn't just support the business—it accelerates it—by proactively designing solutions for a rapidly shifting global market.
Talent Strategy & Intelligent Leadership
  • Precision Talent Planning: Lead performance calibrations and succession governance, utilizing data to remove bias and elevate high-potential "Bricksters."
  • Executive Coaching: Coach senior leaders to move beyond traditional management, fostering a culture of accountability, rapid feedback, and radical transparency.
  • Future-Proofing Teams: Partner with L&D to build enablement programs that prepare our leaders to manage in an AI-augmented workplace.
Culture, Engagement & Change Enablement
  • Data-Backed Insights: Use Pulse and Culture Survey data to diagnose organizational health and prescribe high-impact interventions.
  • Change Orchestration: Guide leaders through large-scale organizational transformations, ensuring consistent execution and cultural cohesion across global borders.
  • Inclusion & Belonging: Design and champion programs that ensure every employee can do their best work in an equitable, high-performance environment.
Operational Excellence
  • COE Collaboration: Partner with Comp, Talent, and Analytics teams to operationalize complex processes with minimal friction.
  • Process Evolution: Continuously refine the People Partner operating model, leveraging automation and AI to simplify workflows and increase "time-to-impact."

What we look for:

  • Experience: 7+ years of HRBP/People Partner experience in a global, hyper-growth tech environment. Supporting GTM or Marketing organizations is highly preferred.
  • The "AI Edge": A proven track record of using AI and advanced analytics to solve people problems and drive business outcomes (e.g., using LLMs for productivity, predictive modeling for retention, or data-driven org design).
  • Executive Presence: The ability to challenge senior leaders, influence complex decisions, and navigate a highly matrixed global organization.
  • Analytical Rigor: You don't just read reports; you find the narrative in the data and use it to drive a bias for action.
  • Architect Mindset: A passion for building scalable systems rather than just managing "business as usual."

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
