Job Summary: 

Prepare Quarterly and year-end tax provision, federal, state and local tax returns. Maintain internal controls for SOX 404 compliance. Timely file federal, state and local tax returns.  Assist in financial accounting for income tax on quarterly and annual basis. 


What you will contribute: 

  • Maintains knowledge of relevant Internal Revenue Code sections and related regulations, state tax rules and regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC requirements, and other relevant tax and accounting regulations. 
  • Prepares governmental tax returns and claims for tax refunds. 
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provision, including SOX internal control procedures and financial statement tax footnote disclosures. 
  • Maintains organization's tax records and files. 
  • Minimizes tax liability through efficient and thorough application of current tax law in the filing of all applicable tax returns. 
  • Avoids penalties and interest by maintaining adherence to internal controls, tax calendar, and policy. 
  • Investigates and responds to notices from various taxing authorities. 
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts relating to corporate income, franchise, and other tax, including deferred tax and payable/receivable accounts. 
  • Researches tax issues, applies results to Veradigm, and writes professional memos to establish and support tax positions. 
  • Interacts with internal and external auditors as necessary to complete audits. 
  • Completes special projects assigned by management 

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Technical / Business experience Required 
  • 4-7 years relevant work experience Preferred 
  • 3-5 Years Corporate income tax experience, including federal and multistate tax experience Required 
  • CPA preferred
