Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the teamThe Invoicing team at Stripe builds and operates Stripe Invoicing, a growing product vertical inside of Stripe. Hundreds of thousands of businesses of all sizes use Stripe Invoicing to collect and manage their payments — collecting payments automatically on scheduled due dates, manually sending invoices and allocating payments against obligations for high-touch relationships, and facilitating recurring payments as part of Stripe Billing. Stripe is defining the industry’s approach to automating receivables and payment collection, and we’re looking for innovators to join us.
What you’ll doInvoicing team members have the opportunity to design for a product that also serves as a platform. Invoicing is not only directly used by Stripe users to calculate, manage, and collect structured payments, but is also used by every product in Stripe Billing to facilitate payments and serves as the integration point for other Stripe products into Stripe Billing. We are looking for a Staff Engineer who is passionate about designing systems and APIs that provide both ease-of-use and the composability needed to solve complicated business use cases and the growing library of functionality available through Stripe. You will work closely with users to build the product for their needs and across internal teams at Stripe to build features that compound on our shared strengths.
