Description
Remote: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Sunnyvale, Austin, Warren] you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

The Team
The Engagement Services DevOps team plays a pivotal role in delivering seamless, reliable, and innovative digital experiences to millions of GM customers. As part of the broader software engineering organization, this group is responsible for the development, deployment, and operational excellence of several high-impact, customer-facing platforms.
What You'll Do
  • Design and develop solutions for infrastructure and automations.
  • Provide standards and expertise for development processes.
  • Act as a tech lead and mentor to the global DevOps group
  • Maintain and enhance Dockerized based environments.
  • Develop & Optimize CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support the group with packaging, customizing and automation efforts.
  • Streamline dev. process to simple, elegant process which can run on multiple platforms.
  • Support the group developers with environment queries, automation requirements, platform solutions.
  • Optimize branching strategies and Git operations for traceability and ease of use for the developers.
  • Manage system configuration using configuration management tools.
  • Contribute to cloud solutions for the group.
  • Maintain the groups storage resources and services.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable experience
  • 10-12 years of experience in a DevOps role.
  • Proven experience in supporting CI/CD, Build systems, Automations, Infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud IaC - Terraform /Pulumi/Crossplane.
  • Experience administrating K8s.
  • Experience and knowledge in Git, REST API, Jenkins/Tekton/Github Actions, Docker, Helm, ArgoCD, Monitoring, CMake.
  • Knowledge with the following development languages - Groovy, Python, Bash, Golang.
  • High level of Linux server administration skills.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a global organization
