Own end-to-end product design for major areas of Clarify’s AI-native CRM. Partner closely with founders and engineers to frame problems, prototype rapidly, design data-dense workflows, ship production UI, gather customer feedback, and establish reusable design patterns. The role requires staff-level product design leadership in an early B2B SaaS startup, strong interaction design for complex tools, comfort with AI-assisted workflows, and a portfolio demonstrating shipped work.

About Clarify

Clarify is building the AI-native CRM — a platform designed from the ground up for how modern go-to-market teams actually work. We raised $22.5M and assembled a team of ~27 people who believe the CRM category is overdue for a complete rethink: less manual data entry, smarter automation, and AI that actually understands your pipeline.

We're early and moving fast. The work you do here will directly shape how we grow.

About the Role

Clarify ships a lot of product — integrations, our AI Rep, reporting, and Signals, launching in December — and today only a fraction of it gets a designer's full attention. You'll be our second product designer and the person who closes that gap.

CRM is one of the most data-dense, workflow-heavy surfaces in software, and most of it was designed for managers, not the people who live in it all day. You'll own design end-to-end for major parts of the product: shaping problems with the founders and engineers, prototyping fast, and staying with the work until it ships. No research team to wait on, no design ops, no handoffs. Just a product that gets visibly better every day because you're here.

What you'll do
  • Own design for a core product area end-to-end, from problem framing to shipped UI

  • Partner with engineers daily and get designs into production every week

  • Design data-dense workflows — records, tables, pipelines, AI agents and signals — that feel fast and obvious

  • Prototype with AI tools and code to test ideas before they hit the roadmap

  • Build the patterns and components that let engineers ship consistent UI without a designer in every loop

  • Talk to customers and use what you hear to decide what to design next

Your background
  • You've operated at a Staff level or above, setting design direction across a product, not just a feature

  • You've been an early designer at a B2B SaaS startup and shipped product, not just mocks

  • You go from problem to high-fidelity in days and keep iterating once it's live

  • You have strong interaction design instincts for complex, data-heavy tools

  • You work hand in hand with engineers and understand how your designs get built

  • You use AI tools in your design workflow and have opinions about where they help

  • Your portfolio shows shipped work and the thinking behind it

  • Bonus: You've designed sales, CRM or developer tools

  • Bonus: You can prototype in React/Next.js

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a salary range of $160,000-$220,000 depending on level and location, benchmarked against market data for startups our size, plus competitive stock options with standard 4-year vesting and a 1-year cliff. Benefits include fully covered medical, dental, and vision for you (50% for dependents), a 401(k) with company match, flexible time off, and generous parental leave. We bring the full team together 2–3 times a year for offsites.

Our Seattle-based employees work from our Pioneer Square office three days a week. Outside of Seattle, we're a fully distributed team.

Clarify is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. We are committed to building an inclusive team and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
