About this role

  • You will be a technical lead and part of the complete development lifecycle from ideation to maintenance
  • Leverage your years of Salesforce experience to setup a solid servicing platform as well as design a heavily API-driven integration with our mobile and web applications as well as with other services and data stores
  • Establish and ensure best practices are being followed to maintain a stable Salesforce environment
  • You will help drive architecture and ensure that our technology
approach meets short-term agility needs while setting us up to scale and evolve.
  • You will design, develop, and see software through the whole SDLC.
  • You will work across various teams to appreciate the full impact of your
technical choices and understand how your work can impact millions of lives on a daily basis

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in developing web and mobile interfaces on Force.com (Apex, VisualForce and Lightning) and leveraging modern open source libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue and the surrounding ecosystem (JSON, XML, CSS, HTML5, etc)
  • Track record of resolving integration issues, developing from scratch with Salesforce API's (REST/SOAP/MetaData,etc.), and cleanly maintaining the complexity of the platform
  • Proven experience to establish Salesforce development best practices, design patterns and frameworks
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce underlying data structure and data flows to support the application build
  • Embraces an agile development environment and knows how to leverage Salesforce to meet a rapid pace of innovation
  • Technical Leadership to provide oversight and guidance to other developers
  • Experience with secure development best practices and using industry standards like SAML and OAuth, with a bonus of being compliant with HIPAA

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
