Role Description

Dropbox is seeking an exceptional Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team. As part of the CTO team, you will lead enterprise wide programs driven out of the CTO org or some of the highest priority initiatives at the company. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams to align on strategy and requirements, define and execute on clear roadmaps, drive alignment with product and company priorities, and own the end-to-end execution of your programs. The ideal candidate has strong technical experience, organized and detail oriented, able to use their influence to drive results for their team with a sense of urgency and ownership and is a adaptable team player who is able to drive ambiguous challenging programs forward.

Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: You will drive the development, alignment, and execution of strategic engineering initiatives, defining clear roadmaps and ensuring successful delivery across cross-functional teams. You must be able to manage ambitious timelines, proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues, and lead the successful execution of complex, cross-functional engineering programs.
  • Stakeholder Management: You will build trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization to align priorities, remove roadblocks, and drive collective success. 
  • Executive Communication: You will communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes clearly and confidently across teams and to executive leadership, providing transparency and fostering alignment.
  • Leadership Through Influence: You will collaborate effectively with leaders to guide decisions, resolve conflicts, and ensure progress toward shared goals through influence and operational excellence.
  • Operational Excellence: You will identify and implement scalable processes, tools, and best practices that improve execution efficiency, predictability, and cross-team collaboration across the engineering organization.
  • Data-Driven Execution: You will use metrics and KPIs to assess program health, measure impact, and drive data-informed decisions that ensure successful outcomes.
  • Culture & Mentorship: You will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while mentoring peers and emerging TPMs to elevate program management excellence across the organization.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of Technical Program Management experience driving complex, cross-functional, and highly technical programs in a related industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline; advanced degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep technical aptitude with the ability to understand and influence technical architectures, discuss system design, reliability, and scalability tradeoffs, and connect technical decisions to business impact.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, with demonstrated ability to influence and align senior leaders and technical teams. Skilled at presenting to large audiences and managing high-stakes communication under pressure.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale, enterprise level, cross-functional programs with significant technical complexity, using expert program management practices, structured problem solving, and process improvement to drive predictable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end execution, from strategy and roadmap definition through delivery and post-launch measurement, ensuring technical and business goals are met.
  • Track record of scaling impact beyond direct scope, mentoring TPMs and engineering peers, and contributing to the evolution of program management frameworks and best practices across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI Productivity tools
  • Expertise being a champion for program management tools and their utilization across a company (e.g., Jira, Airtable, Asana, etc.)
  • Experience working with platform or infrastructure groups in large companies
Compensation
Canada Pay Range
$181,100$244,900 CAD
