We are looking for a Staff UX Researcher to lead and support research within Acuity Scheduling. You will primarily focus on studying our user base of service sellers and their customers within Acuity. You are passionate about understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations and highlighting them across the organization. You will work closely with product owners to guide the direction and influence of Research - staying involved with the product teams and training their colleagues to maximize their ability to understand and act upon customer needs.

You will report directly to the Director, UX Research. This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week.

You'll Get To…
  • Guide and oversee multiple research projects simultaneously across eight product teams with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Identify opportunities with Product leadership that inspire change within a major area of the business while executing and informing research on a Group and team level.
  • Build and nurture partnerships with product managers, designers, data scientists, analysts, customer support, and engineers at all levels.
  • Lead end-to-end, high impact exploratory research while simultaneously teaching and helping cross-functional teams conduct lightweight research on their own.
  • Present to leadership and find compelling ways to illustrate research findings to influence stakeholders and product roadmaps.
  • Advocate for research within the organization and on your teams by guiding stakeholders toward the best areas of study, methodologies, and a shared understanding of our users.
  • Identify patterns in research happening across teams and establish core insights that impact ongoing prioritization.
Who We're Looking For
  • 9+ years of UX Research experience, preferably at a SAAS company. Previous education and training taken into consideration.
  • Deep understanding of UX/Design research methods, knowing when and how to apply different methods and customize them to teams' needs and constraints.
  • Ability to create and lead mixed method research studies and also instruct Non-researchers on research fundamentals and best practices when conducting lightweight research.
  • Experience creating and owning research processes end-to-end and influencing product and teams' direction at a leadership and team level.
  • Ability to provide focus and direction to multiple stakeholders when faced with ambiguity and technological constraints.
  • Basic familiarity with analytics and quantitative research and comfortability working alongside quantitative research partners.

Cash Compensation Range: $185,500 - $225,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
