Under general guidance the Store Leader 2 is responsible for the store operations in 2 store locations which includes  building a successful team, developing customer loyalty, driving for results, and achieving goals set for the store.  The Store Leaders 2 must maintain up to date promotional materials and is responsible for hiring and training the store staff.  This position supervises others including 2 Assistant Store Leaders, Senior Guest Advisors, Guest Advisors, and Seasonal Associates in both store locations.  The Store Leader 2 will always act in accordance with GameStop’s policies, practices, and core values. The Store Leader 2 must have a strong focus on customer satisfaction and meeting monthly sales goals, be an excellent communicator, and demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and lead in a multiunit capacity, with the ability to multitask and direct a larger team across two store locations
  • Consistently provide direct leadership, support, and guidance to the Assistant Store Leaders at both store locations
  • Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives and loss prevention goals through training and mentoring
  • Hire, train, supervise, and develop two store staffs
  • Coach and counsel associates, monitor and review performance, develop staff focusing on individual and team performance improvement
  • Lead associates to drive a sales culture that maximizes store profitability
  • Lead by example, delivering excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely, professional manner
  • Ensure visual and operational elements are consistent with Company standards
  • Protect Company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices

QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age[i]
  • High school diploma required; An Associate’s or accredited Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working in a retail sales environment; 1+ year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role

MINIMUM JOB SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to follow instructions presented in written, oral or diagram form 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written English; ability to speak and/or write in other languages a plus
  • Must be able to work up to 44 hours per week

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work alone, move throughout the store unassisted and stand for extended periods of time (8 hours or more per day)
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds 
  • Walk, use hands and fingers to handle small objects or controls, reach and stretch with hands and arms, balance, bend, stoop, reach with arms and hands, kneel and crawl, talk and hear, and climb on ladders
  • Must be able to occasionally travel unassisted via car
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to look at the computer screen for extended periods of time and the ability to adjust focus
