Infisical is the open source security infrastructure platform that engineers use for secrets management, certificates, and privileged access management. We help developers and organizations securely manage billions of secrets every month including application configuration, database credentials, certificates, and more.

We’ve raised $19M from Y Combinator, Google, and Elad Gil, and our customers include Hugging Face, Lucid, and LG.

Join us on a mission to make security easier for all developers — starting with secrets management. We’re looking to hire exceptional talent to join us in building the open source security infrastructure stack for the AI era.

About the role

We're looking for a Strategic Finance Lead to build and scale the financial foundation that will enable Infisical's next stage of growth. This is a role that blends strategic finance with operational decision-making, giving you visibility into every part of the business; from sales and hiring to fundraising and long-term planning.

You'll own the finance function end-to-end, helping leadership make better decisions through accurate reporting, thoughtful forecasting, and operational rigor. As the first finance hire, you'll have the opportunity to design processes from the ground up while partnering closely with the founders to shape how the business scales.

You'll work closely with Leadership, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to:

  • Own day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor management, reimbursements, and payment approvals.

  • Lead monthly close processes, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and ensure accurate books across the business.

  • Manage tax filings, compliance, and financial operations across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Build financial models, cash flow forecasts, runway analyses, headcount planning, and scenario modeling to support decision-making.

  • Partner with leadership on fundraising, investor reporting, due diligence, and board materials.

  • Improve internal financial processes, policies, and tooling to help the business operate more efficiently as we scale.

  • Support insurance renewals and other operational initiatives that keep the business running smoothly.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience across investment banking, strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, or startup finance, including experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.

  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Experience owning core finance operations, including month-end close, revenue recognition, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

  • Ability to build financial models independently and communicate insights that influence business decisions.

  • High ownership with the ability to operate autonomously and build processes in a fast-moving startup environment.

  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining the ability to think strategically across the business.

  • Based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have
  • Experience supporting venture-backed startups through fundraising, investor diligence, or board reporting.

  • Experience managing legal operations, including customer and vendor contracts, NDA and DPA workflows, contract repositories, and coordination with outside counsel.

Team, values & benefits

Our team brings experience from companies like Databricks, AWS, Red Hat, and more. We operate primarily as a remote team, but maintain a strong presence in San Francisco, where we have an office. We also get together in person throughout the year for off-sites, conferences, and team gatherings.

At Infisical, we offer competitive compensation, including both salary and equity options. Additional benefits, such as a lunch stipend and a work setup budget, are available with more details to be found on our careers page.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
