The Strategy Support Analyst role involves analyzing clinical trial pipelines, reporting on performance metrics, and collaborating with Business Development to drive growth in therapeutic areas.
Goal of the Role
- Increase the insight into clinical trial pipeline and drug development trends across 16 therapeutic and speciality drug development Centre of Excellence (CoE) for year-on-year growth targets and differentiation strategies.
- Increase the focus of the Therapeutic Areas (TAs) on their performance against their stated targets. Facilitate and manage the Early Engagement documentation for each CoE, with monthly metrics reporting for the TSSU score card.
- Facilitate the engagement with Business Development to achieve Early Engagement Targets to drive GNB growth
- Increase the visibility of the TAs and visibility of performance at a Leadership level through targeted reporting.
- Metrics capture, analysis and reporting for CoE initiatives and adhoc special projects

TA Growth insights and tracking
- Pipeline analysis
- Analysis of compiled external and internal data sets at a therapeutic level to provide insights into indication specific growth areas and targetable opportunities to drive business growth.
- Early Engagement target identification in collaboration with the Centres of Excellence
- Tracking of metrics and progress analysis and reporting on a monthly basis
- Sales engagement
- Annual and quarterly target plan sales engagement - CoE targets shared with sales and aligned with account plans
- Early Engagement target alignment, strategies, tracking and reporting
- Forward looking account strategies for expanding engagement through therapeutic and scientific expertise
- Initiative KPI Tracking
Monthly / Quarterly reporting and metrics
- Drive monthly focus on result analysis and reporting for Early Engagement
- Focus on Top 10 Early Engagement opportunities per CoE
- Actions to progress to next stage
- Collate Metrics against Strategy Plans
Education and Experience
- Clinical trial, pharmaceutical drug development background and experience – at least 2 years
- Business analytical experience
Key skills
- Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and therapeutic terminology
- Systems compliance for accurate business insights, including set up, data entry, analysis, and reporting
- Advanced level excel and data analytics
- Data presentation skills
- Familiarity with CRM an advantage
- Ability to identify process improvements and drive through to implementation
The position will be office or home based, working across TSSU in Europe and the USA, with some requirement for overlap with US East coast morning.
