SUMMER 2026 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Macmillan Publishers is excited to offer paid, full-time, remote internship opportunities for our Summer 2026 session! While these positions are remote-friendly, interns hired locally will have the opportunity to work from our NY, NY office if interested.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join us in departments on the Trade side of our business including Editorial, Marketing, Publicity, Art & Design, Sales, Managing/Production Editorial, Production, Publishing Operations, Subrights, Creative Services, and Author Events. In our Shared Services functional areas, opportunities may exist in departments such as: ESG, Technology/Platform Development, Legal, People and Culture (HR, DEI, Communications).

THE EXPERIENCE
Interns will become familiar with the inner workings of their assigned teams, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the publishing industry. Beyond daily tasks, our 2026 program also features:

* Industry & Development Workshops: Participate in curated sessions designed to build your professional toolkit and deepen your knowledge of the industry trade.
* Summer Project: Collaborative opportunities to contribute to a summer project, allowing you to see pieces of the publishing process from start to finish.
* Networking: Connect virtually with employees across various departments to build a diverse professional network.

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Dates: June 1st, 2026 – August 21st, 2026
  • Duration: 12 weeks
  • Compensation: $17/hour
  • Schedule: Full-time (up to 40 hours per week)
  • Flexibility: Some flexibility regarding duration may be available if needed

Applicants must be physically located in the U.S. for the duration of the internship; we are not able to sponsor visas at this time.
