Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential clients, especially beauty, lifestyle, and emerging brands in the $1–5M revenue range. “Get a BDR in there that can be doing prospecting...it’d be nice to have some dedicated people for just prospecting and things like that.” (Ryan)1
  • Trade Show Engagement: Attend industry events to network and generate leads. “Trade shows...is a great place for BDRs to cut their teeth and generate leads and, you know, go out and talk to people that you can hire for that kind of personality.” (Xan)1
  • Pipeline Management: Qualify inbound and outbound leads, set meetings, and ensure smooth handoff to Account Executives or leadership for deal closure.
  • Process Adherence: Follow and help refine a developing sales process. “We have what's worked for us in the past...it needs to be packaged up and probably formalized a little bit.” (Ryan)1
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the CRO (Elizabeth), GM (Ryan), and other team members to align on targets and strategy.
  • Initiative & Ownership: Take responsibility for driving results, being proactive in outreach, and managing follow-ups. “Someone who is very much on point of the email. The introduction comes in and then they set the meeting. They send the preread...that’s like table stakes.” (Elizabeth)2
Career Growth & Development
SuperOrdinary is in a high-growth phase, offering significant career advancement potenti
  • Mentorship: Direct access to experienced leaders like Elizabeth (CRO, ex-Google, Vogue, Ipsy, Front Row) and Ryan (GM, Amazon division), who are invested in developing talent.
  • Exposure to Multiple Divisions: Opportunity to work across Amazon, TikTok, and media, gaining broad industry experience.
  • Remote Flexibility: The company is primarily remote, with flexibility to hire outside major metros, which can accelerate advancement for high performers.

What they are looking for:

Key Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:

  • Industry Experience: Ideally, experience in Amazon sales, e-commerce, or a similar environment (Pattern, Front Row, Envision, etc.). “I want to target BDRs that are at Pattern and hire them...I need people that have experience doing exactly what I need them to do.” (Ryan)1
  • Communication & Professionalism: Ability to confidently engage with prospects, handle meetings, and represent the company well. “I am also looking for someone who, yes, the meeting opens, greets people, isn’t thrown. If there’s a problem...roll with it because you’re looking at the overall picture.” (Elizabeth)2

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
