SupplyHouse.com, a rapidly growing e-commerce company, is looking for a Supplier Quality Specialist to join our Merchandising Team! In this position, you will take ownership of developing, implementing, and managing the product audit and testing process for our private label program, ensuring high-quality products for our customers, have a passion for quality assurance, and thrive in a collaborative environment. This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

This position will require travel to our NY office headquarters three times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.

A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.

Role Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Remote (Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington)

Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET. However, we provide flexibility based on local time zones and our Flex-Time Policy.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 (Annually)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the factory audit process for direct import vendors, ensuring all suppliers comply with social and workplace audit requirements.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of third-party testing requests, reviewing results to confirm compliance with private label product testing standards.
  • Identify required testing and certifications for product categories, manage certification renewals, and stay updated on new regulations to adapt our offerings accordingly.
  • Evaluate product samples from multiple private label suppliers to ensure consistent quality, appearance, and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors to address quality issues, recommend improvements, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Develop customer service documents and training materials to support the private label program.
  • Conduct customer training sessions and represent the private label program at trade shows, sharing product knowledge and highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback on the private label program, implementing changes to enhance the customer experience.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to innovate and improve methods for evaluating and inspecting supplier deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Merchandising, Engineering, Marketing or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product quality management and knowledge of hard parts in trade industries.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and retail systems.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management abilities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working independently, in team settings, and with remote team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical expertise or knowledge of the industry and trades.
  • Familiarity with hard parts in HVAC, heating, electrical, and/or plumbing industries.
