Job Description

Nordstrom is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and results-driven Learning and Documentation Program Manager to lead the Certified Manager Training (CMT) initiative within the Supply Chain Operations (SCO) network.

The Process Training and Documentation team plays a critical role within our Supply Chain by focusing on end-user training and providing step-by-step documentation that explains and teaches processes from the perspective of a first-time user. This individual will be focused on the development of leadership skills, application of key development programs and implementation of key training management software systems (ie Cornerstone).

This individual will design and deliver interactive training programs that build leadership skills, adapting to diverse learning styles to ensure effective outcomes. Development of these skills are aimed at improving the overall business outcomes and team member experiences. This role will be responsible for the instructional design, development, implementation, and sustainment of training content and documentation, supporting the rollout and long-term success of the CMT program.

This role will partner closely with key stakeholders in Human Resources and Learning & Development teams to build, deploy, and monitor effectiveness of training material. They will continually evaluate needs and work to provide content that meets the leader where they are with real world applications, examples, and outcomes.

A Day in the Life…

  • Lead the department-level documentation and training development workstream, including intake, review, and instructional design.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, Learning COE, capability owners, Etc.) to align training content with strategic priorities.
  • Own the train-the-trainer strategy for the CMT program, identifying and upskilling manager trainers across departments and shifts.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized documentation repository for program content.
  • Support program rollout planning and communications in partnership with program leadership.
  • Act as the program sustainment owner, managing update cycles, trainer audits, and content refreshes.
  • Serve as a liaison for instructional design and training strategies across SCO projects.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of learning measurement strategies to evaluate training effectiveness.

You Own This If You…

  • Have a 4-year degree in Instructional Design, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Bring 3+ years of experience in program management, instructional design, and training development with a strong emphasis on designing impactful learning experiences.
  • Superior facilitation with active engagement and confident presentation skills
  • Knowledge of organizational problem solving and goal achievement (e.g., A3, Lean, Gemba, 4DX)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (i.e. Workday and Cornerstone)
  • Ability to adapt to and incorporate new technology
  • Experience working on training or learning programs/projects, especially within fast-paced or ambiguous environments.
  • Skilled in project management, change management, and learning measurement, with the ability to translate operational needs into scalable training solutions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to incorporate extensive stakeholder feedback, particularly when supporting brand-new initiatives or pilot programs.
  • Are comfortable with travel (25–50%) to support on-site training and deployment needs.
  • Can translate operational needs into scalable training solutions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Supply Chain operations and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills with the ability to build strong partnerships, including strength in managing stakeholder relationships and influencing stakeholders to deliver results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to utilize data as a guiding force in decision making, partnered with strong communication skills for presentation/story telling.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to lead both virtual and in-person sessions.

Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$92,000.00 - $155,000.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
