In this role, you will serve as the primary desktop support resource for our Austin, TX office while collaborating with other IT team members across the organization. You will assist ForeFlight employees and business partners by providing hands-on technical support and helping to maintain a reliable, secure IT environment.
This role is based in Austin, TX and may occasionally require after-hours work for activities such as system integrations, network maintenance, or urgent remote support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for desktop support requests for the Austin, TX office
- Coordinate closely with the broader Help Desk team and IT Manager to support ForeFlight's technology needs
- Procure, configure, and maintain end-user hardware including laptops, monitors, and mobile devices
- Onboard new employees and provide on-site and remote support for day-to-day technical issues
- Assist with the implementation and support of new software and service integrations
- Help administer internal systems that support business operations and continuity
- Take ownership of assigned projects, managing tasks independently and seeing them through to completion
- Deliver high-quality customer service with a focus on teamwork, professionalism, and responsiveness
Basic Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in Help Desk or IT support roles
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting macOS and iOS in a business environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team
- Familiarity with standard IT ticketing systems
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to follow documented procedures and contribute to knowledge base documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IT infrastructure monitoring tools
- Familiarity with Windows Server technologies (e.g., Active Directory, DHCP, DNS)
- Experience with Google Workspace administration
- Exposure to tools such as Atlassian products, Cisco Meraki, Jamf, or Microsoft Intune
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, routing, firewalls)
- Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation or administrative tasks
- Private Pilot License (a bonus in our aviation-oriented environment)
