Manage and improve the SIM Tools platform for stability, security, automation, and monitoring across cloud and network infrastructure. Automate health monitoring and alerting, manage user accounts and RBAC, implement usage reporting for licensing, plan and execute upgrades with rollback strategies, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with partner teams.
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong SIM Tools Platform Engineer to oversee and continuously enhance our SIM Tools environment, Configure, support, and continuously improve the SIM Tools environment with a focus on stability, security, automation, and monitoring across cloud and network infrastructure.
Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:
- Administer configuration settings and maintain SIM Tools for availability, performance, and stability.
- Develop utilities and automation to monitor SIM Tools health, generate alerts, and support proactive issue detection.
- Provide user account management: provisioning/deprovisioning, access rules/RBAC, periodic access reviews, and audit support.
- Implement SIM Tools usage reporting to support license utilization visibility, budget forecasting, and business justification.
- Plan and execute application/system upgrades, including validation and rollback planning.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with partner teams.
- Required Skills
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure and operations (including networking fundamentals).
- Familiarity operating in/with Nexus environments.
- Working knowledge of network cloud infrastructure and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Mobility Core concepts/dependencies.
- Working knowledge of Python and automation tools/scripting to streamline operations and monitoring.
- Working knowledge of Networking and Routing
