Job Title: Systems and Network Administrator

Department: IT Department

Location: Pasco, WA

Reports To: Director of IT

Job Type: Full Time - on site

Travel: 10%-15%

Compensation Range: $80,000-$91,000 based off experience 

 

Job Summary
The Systems and Network Administrator supports the daily operations, maintenance, and security of Versova’s IT systems and network infrastructure. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role focuses on ensuring reliable system performance, assisting with upgrades and implementations, and providing technical support to users and IT initiatives. This is a hands-on position that contributes directly to maintaining network uptime, data integrity, and system efficiency across the organization.

 

Essential Job Functions

Server and Virtualization Administration

  • Administer virtualization hosts, including provisioning, configuration, and virtual networking
  • Manage Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and NPS
  • Support and maintain Veeam data backup and recovery procedures, including regular restore testing
  • Perform system patching, firmware updates, hardware deployments, and OS upgrades

Network Administration

  • Configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls including security policies, routing, and IPsec tunnels
  • Administer Cisco switching infrastructure, including deployments, VLAN configuration, and trunking
  • Monitor WAN and LAN performance and proactively resolve issues

Microsoft 365 and Cloud Administration

  • Administer Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive
  • Manage Entra ID including Conditional Access policies and MFA enforcement
  • Support Intune administration and endpoint management

Security

  • Administer Cortex XDR policies, configurations, and alerts for endpoint security
  • Administer Mimecast email security gateway policies
  • Support email authentication standards including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC

Documentation and Support

  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and SOPs
  • Provide end-user technical support, including escalation-level troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with IT team members on projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in systems and network administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Active Directory and Windows Server
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
  • Experience with backup and recovery platforms
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto, Microsoft, CCNA, Network+, or Security+
  • Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or food production environments
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or business application integration
  • Experience with Palo Alto Panorama
  • Experience with Azure Automation or other process automation tools

Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based with occasional travel to company locations for on-site support. The position includes hands-on maintenance, user support, and project work. Occasional after-hours support may be required.
