Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Systems, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Systems Coordination team. Our team supports the US and UK TRIDENT Submarine Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and US Attack Weapon System (AWS) programs.
The position is responsible for managing Cable Running Sheet change requests from contractors in support of our Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) customer. This includes supporting the change requests from an early stage, supporting contractor resolution, and full implementation into SSP documentation artifacts. The position will support the SWS community and working groups to help with the technical resolution of changes. A limited amount of travel to off-site locations could be required.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
The Systems Engineer (with Cabling focus) will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating government contractor's technical data in BAE Systems coordination artifacts.
  • Evaluating change requests against the documented technical information of cables that are between contractor interfaces
  • Occasionally processing Proposed Notice of Changes (PNOC) against coordination artifacts to update with contractor supplied cabling requirements.
  • Regular communication with government contractor stakeholders to drive cable running sheet changes to completion.
  • Responsible for processing cabling documentation contract deliverables twice per year.
  • Participate in efforts that innovate cable running sheet requirements exchanges between government and contractor stakeholders.
  • Participate and present at workshop meetings consisting of government stakeholders, contractor stakeholders, and Strategic Systems Programs customer.

  • Experience with the US/UK Strategic Weapon System and US Attack Weapon System programs.
  • Experience with Windchill/PLM tools.
  • Experience evaluating change requests, preparing change notices, and resolving comments/feedback to change notices.
  • Experience presenting to customer stakeholders.
  • Experience with the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
  • Experience with large Data Requirements artifacts.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $63653 - $108210
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
