Location: Remote / Hybrid (local to Troy, MI area preferred)

About the Role

Are you a high-energy recruiter who loves the thrill of the hunt? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same? If so, North wants you!

We are looking for an eager, go-getter Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. In this role, you won't just fill seats—you will be a strategic partner driving growth across our core tech and creative hubs: IT, Engineering, Product, and Marketing.

But that’s not all. We need a true utility player —someone who is naturally curious, ready to learn, and excited to flex into other business units (like Sales, Finance, or Customer Service) whenever duty calls. Reporting directly to our Talent Acquisition Manager, you will own the full-cycle recruiting process and serve as the face of our company brand.

What You’ll Do (Your Impact)
  • Own the Tech & Creative Pipeline: Build and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract top-tier talent for our IT, Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams.

  • Be a Utility Player: Stay nimble and ready to support hiring initiatives across multiple entities and diverse business units as our company scales.

  • Deliver an Unmatched Candidate Experience: Keep candidates energized and informed with proactive, transparent, and timely communication.

  • Partner with Leadership: Guide hiring managers through the interview process, provide data-driven applicant recommendations, and collaborate on market intelligence.

  • Craft Our Story: Write highly competitive, marketable job postings that show the world why North is the ultimate place to build a career.

  • Get Out into the Community: Team up with the TA squad to attend exciting career fairs, campus events, and industry tradeshows.

  • Keep Us Organized: Maintain clean candidate data within our Applicant Tracking System to ensure a seamless workflow.

Who You Are
  • An Eager Learner: You possess a strong desire for self-development and "nimble learning". You pick up new technical concepts and tools quickly.

  • A Relationship Builder: You have exceptional interpersonal skills and know exactly how to engage passive candidates on the phone to generate excitement and referrals.

  • A High-Volume Hustler: You are action-oriented and structured enough to manage multiple priorities and build strong pipelines under tight timelines.

  • A Stakeholder Champion: You balance the needs of both hiring managers and candidates beautifully, ensuring everyone walks away with a positive experience.

What You Bring
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required ; a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant recruiting experience is fantastic.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of full-cycle recruiting experience

  • Proven Track Record: Experience executing diverse recruitment strategies across multiple technical or creative functions.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Google Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems. (If you have Workday experience, that’s a huge plus!)

  • Bonus Points: Professional certifications like RACR, PHR, or SHRM will really make you stand out!

What we offer:
  • We offer a comprehensive benefits package that enables our teams to live a life well lived, both personally and professionally. Some of our perks include:

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Coverage

  • Flexible Paid Time Off

  • 401(k) + Match

  • Mental Health Support & Well-Being Program

  • Paid Maternity & Paternity Leave

  • Education Assistance

  • Company-funded Lifestyle Spending Account

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000

Pay within this range varies by work location and on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We look forward to discussing your salary expectations and our full total rewards offerings throughout the interview process.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
