About AZX

Our mission is to accelerate positive impact in critical industries through AI transformation.

We’re growing quickly and already work with category-leaders in real estate (CBRE), energy (LevelTen Energy), logistics (Flexe), and utilities (Puget Sound Energy).

AZX is a public benefit corporation founded in 2024. We were profitable through bootstrapped consulting for the first year. In early 2026, we raised $6M to scale our operations and technology.

We work on challenges in clean energy, decarbonization, climate risk, energy systems, and global economics. We’re building our company for long-term success and aim to create the ultimate place to work for those passionate about AI and making a positive impact.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Talent Acquisition Associate to help build AZX’s team during a critical growth phase. You’ll work directly with founders and hiring managers to find exceptional people across engineering, AI/ML, strategy, and go-to-market (GTM) roles.

This is a full-cycle recruiting role with an emphasis on sourcing and coordination with real ownership of candidate experience from initial outreach to offer. You’ll build pipelines for hard-to-find talent in AI, energy, and climate, screen candidates and learn from experienced hiring managers and an HR lead along the way. When recruiting doesn’t fill your plate, you’ll flex into marketing, events, and content support alongside the GTM team.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is hungry to learn recruiting, obsessively organized, and energized by the idea of helping build a mission-driven team from the ground up. You don’t need years of experience—you need drive, curiosity, and the kind of personal productivity that makes people wonder how you got so much done.

What You Will Do

  • Source and recruit candidates for technical and strategic roles across AI/ML engineering, platform, strategy, and operations—using LinkedIn, communities, research networks, events, AI tools and creative approaches

  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines in the ATS (Ashby), keeping data clean, status current, and nothing falling through the cracks

  • Coordinate interviews end-to-end: scheduling across time zones, preparing interviewers, managing candidate communications, and ensuring a seamless experience at every touchpoint

  • Own candidate experience from first outreach through offer—every interaction should reflect AZX’s mission, values, and how seriously we take people

  • Research and map talent landscapes: who’s doing interesting work in AI, energy, climate, and adjacent spaces? Where are the communities, conferences, and networks where our future hires spend time?

  • Support hiring managers with role intake, job description drafting, and interview process logistics

  • Help strengthen AZX’s talent brand by contributing to recruiting content, social presence, and how we show up in the market

  • Flex into marketing and events support as capacity allows—help coordinate event logistics, support outreach campaigns, and pitch in on content efforts

  • Track and report on recruiting metrics: pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate experience feedback

Core Qualifications

  • Obsessively organized and detail-oriented. You manage multiple candidates, roles, and schedules without dropping balls.

  • Relentless work ethic. Recruiting is a grind—you embrace the volume, follow up consistently, and don’t quit.

  • Strong written and verbal communication. Your outreach messages get responses. Your candidate updates are clear and timely. You represent AZX well in every interaction.

  • Comfortable with AI tools and eager to use them. You don’t need to code, but you will use AI daily to move faster—writing outreach, researching companies, summarizing notes, building lists.

  • Genuinely curious about people and what motivates them. You can spot a great candidate and get them excited about an opportunity.

  • Comfortable in ambiguity. AZX is early-stage—processes are being built, priorities shift, and you’ll need to figure things out without a manual.

Values and Culture Qualifications

  • Mission aligned—you care about climate, energy, and using technology to solve hard problems. This isn’t just a job.

  • Action in ambiguity—you figure out what to do when nobody tells you, and you take ownership of the outcome.

  • Intellectual humility—you’d rather find the right answer than be right.

  • Kind candor—you care about your teammates and speak honestly, without creating unnecessary conflict.

  • Highly productive—you have a track record of getting a lot done.

Other Qualifications (Not required, but a huge plus)

  • Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR— internships, campus recruiting, or agency work counts

  • Familiarity with an ATS (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, etc.)

  • Interest in or exposure to the energy, climate, or AI space

  • Experience at a startup or in a fast-moving, build-from-scratch environment

  • Background in community building, events, or marketing (given the flex into GTM support)

  • You use AI tools daily and are always looking for ways to automate repetitive work

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $65,000–$90,000 (based on capabilities, experience, and location)

  • Bonus eligibility

  • Equity

  • Health insurance with meaningful coverage for dependents

  • Flexible paid time off

  • Training and learning opportunities

  • Fully remote team with a cluster of teammates in Seattle

  • Be part of a fast-growing, mission-driven company with industry-leading clients tackling the massive opportunity of AI transformation in critical industries

Logistics

  • Remote, U.S.-based. Seattle or a major US city strongly preferred.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

  • Willingness to travel for AZX company events and industry conferences

Next Steps — we want to hear from you!

If this job sounds like a fit, we’d love to hear from you. If you feel aligned to the company but don’t check every box, please apply anyway—we’d still love to meet you.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
