In addition to delivering high‑quality tax planning and analysis, the individual in this role will help articulate the firm’s value proposition, identify tax‑related planning opportunities, and support the conversion of prospects into long‑term client relationships. • Provide insight on clients’ current entity structures, family businesses, corporate tax issues and philanthropic strategies
• Review and analyze sophisticated models of wealth transfer and philanthropic strategies for clients, incorporating federal and state income and estate tax consequences
• Independently review and summarize planning documents (e.g., Irrevocable Trusts, operating agreements) to create an analysis of current planning strategies and provide feedback and recommendations
• Assist with the advancement of technical knowledge and mentorship of less experienced tax team members
• Identify tax‑related opportunities that enhance client relationships and support the firm’s business development strategies
• Participate in client and prospect conversations to help articulate tax planning value and support overall client experience goals
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 10+ years of public accounting experience, or equivalent experience
• Advanced degree or designation required (e.g., CPA or JD, MS/LLM)
• Advanced tax code knowledge, application and accounting skills
• Experience with UltraTax and Sureprep a plus
• Highly organized and tax-oriented
• Ability to communicate concepts to clients and advisors in concise and understandable fashion
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent time-management skills
• Team player, collaborative and able to work in concert with others
• Client first attitude including a passion for providing an excellent client experience
• Comfort participating in client development discussions and supporting relationship‑building efforts

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
