Your Role: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Product Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have tax experience and will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of products from conception to launch. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and business objectives. The Tax Technology Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of products that meet customer expectations and drive business growth.  
 
The ideal candidate combines product management experience with a strong tax background, ideally including familiarity with K-1 tax forms. Direct K-1 experience is not required, but a solid understanding of tax concepts will help in understanding customer personas, workflows, and motivations. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy.
  • Conduct market research to identify market opportunities and drive product innovation.
  • Define product requirements and create detailed product roadmaps based on customer feedback, business objectives, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to develop and launch products.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback and business goals.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to inform future product development.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor products.

Requirements

 Who You Are:

As the ideal candidate for this role, you possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. 
    • 5+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role. 
    • 5+ years in or around the Tax Industry or Tax Technology space. 
    • Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies. 
    • Strong understanding of the Tax Industry or Tax Technology space. 
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
    • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. 
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. 
    • Experience with market research and data analysis. 
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
    • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices. 
    • Proficiency in product management software and tools.

    • Experience in the tax accounting or financial services industry. 
    • Product management certification 
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. 
    • Experience working with AI and machine learning technologies.
