Lead the implementation of tax technology solutions, manage projects, improve operational effectiveness, and design custom applications for clients.
A Managing Director in Tax Technology group here at CFGI involves strategically leading and managing the implementation of tax technology solutions while helping our client's transformation and streamline tax processes.
This person should be a proven leader and willing to participate in the development, design and implementation of tax technology projects using data analytics, automation technologies for tax functions, digital tax operations and other technology driven solutions.
Your key responsibilities would include
· Improve operational effectiveness in tax functions for various clients
· Review the process and controls that are in place (and effectiveness) of the various technology systems for our client base.
· Be able to increase automation and data quality throughout tax processes, assessing the overall risk to establish a proper control environment for our clients.
· Designing and building custom tax applications.
· Lead tax Technology Strategy and road mapping exercises for various direct and indirect tax systems including ONESOURCE, Corp tax, Avalara among others.
· Work with executive leadership at our clients to make sure all projects are accurately executed
· Build a team of professionals that will report into you
· Understand key tax processes, technology, data, analytics, and risk and controls to mitigate risk and enhance quality for our clients
· Excellent communication and business writing skills strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional client servicing consulting skills
· Should be knowledgeable of ERP systems such as Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, other ERPs
· Should be knowledgeable of tax specific software tools such as CorpTax, GoSystems, ONESOURCE, Vertex
· Should be knowledgeable of SharePoint, RPA software tools and have experience developing and implementing custom applications using tools such as Visual Studio, VBA/VSTO, SQL Server, MS PowerBI Suite)
· Demonstrate the ability to be proactive and the ability to develop and motivate a team
· Actively sell value-add work to our client base by developing meaningful relationships with our client base.
· Research the latest tax technology trends and best practices, evaluate technology options and recommend as needed
· Work alongside CFGI’s Business Transformation Team and tax teams
Qualifications and experience
· Self-Starter with strong US technical knowledge of corporate income tax and indirect tax principles with multiple filing groups
· at least 12 years of direct experience from industry and public accounting for U.S. tax needed a bachelor's degree in accounting or computer dance with their proven tax technology experience
· Ability to clearly articulate both problems and identify proposed solutions strong analytical, prioritization
· The ability to manage large scale transformation efforts for our clients.
