What We Need:
The Team Lead, Held AR will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the resolution of held accounts receivable (AR) to ensure timely payments and accurate billing. This position will serve as a key resource for the AR team, providing guidance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process improvements. The Team Lead will also collaborate with internal departments to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency in revenue cycle operations.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee and manage the held AR process, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding claims.
- Provide leadership and support to AR team members, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Track and report on AR trends, developing strategies to reduce held accounts.
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Collaborate with billing, collections, and payer relations teams to address claim issues.
- Maintain thorough documentation of AR activities, including reporting and tracking of billing adjustments or corrections.
- Train and mentor AR team members to enhance performance and process understanding.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.
What You Have:

- High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry in a billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle role.
- Prior experience in durable medical equipment (DME) billing preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn department-specific software.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
