You will:

  • Lead a team of engineers in the development of innovative software solutions.

  • Own the technical design/architecture, vision and implementation strategy for major systems & components of the LiveRamp’s data collaboration platform.

  • Partner and collaborate with organization leadership to help improve the level of performance of the team & organization.

  • Effectively communicate complex features and systems in detail

  • Have a purposeful impact and align strategy, processes, and decision-making across Engineering, Product & Design, and Data Science teams

  • Understand industry & company-wide trends to help assess & develop new technologies

  • Write highly scalable and clean code, debug complex problems, prioritize ruthlessly and get things done with a high level of efficiency

  • Bring a wealth of best practices from past experiences to the team.

  • Help recruit the best engineers to join the team to build great products together. 

Your team will: 

  • Be responsible for building a product enabling marketers to enrich their CRM data with automated data engineering pipelines.

  • Design and build a product to onboard new data providers to Enrichment. 

  • Enable sales teams by building pre-sales tools like match test reports that provide buyers with valuable information about 3P data assets to make key decisions. 

  • Treat infrastructure as code, leveraging tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.

  • Design with privacy and security-first principles.

About you: 

  • 6+ years of experience leading teams designing and building scalable services, APIs, and infrastructures. 

  • 2+ years of experience as the Technical Lead responsible and accountable for designing and delivering industry-leading products.

  • 2+ years of experience in engineering management positions. 

  • Have experience driving design discussions, performing code reviews, and providing critical suggestions for fixes and improvements.

  • Familiar with large distributed systems and performance optimization of complex enterprise systems.

  • Thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility, and you see challenges as opportunities for growth.

  • Are excited about collaborating with teammates across LiveRamp.

  • A polyglot with an inclination to learn new languages and technologies quickly.

  • People management skills, experience in mentoring and coaching team members.

Bonus Points:

  • Contributions to open source projects.

  • Strong experience programming in Java, Golang.

  • Familiarity with Typescript and Ruby. 

  • Experience working on a distributed team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience building and optimizing tools, architectures, and standards.

  • Experienced with multiple microservice frameworks (SpringBoot, Rails, etc.) 

  • Experience with GCP or another cloud provider (AWS, Azure, ...).

The approximate annual base compensation range is $195,000 to $229,500. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geography, as well as internal equity among our team.
