Purpose of Position:

As a Technical Product Manager for Cloud Strategy at Hexagon Mining, you would play a crucial role in shaping the company’s cloud-based solutions and strategies. This role involves a blend of strategic planning, technical expertise, and cross-functional leadership to deliver innovative cloud services that align with our business objectives and customer needs.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy that supports the overall business goals of Hexagon Mining. This includes understanding how cloud technologies can be leveraged to improve mining operations, data management, and analytics.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of cloud-based products and services from inception to deployment, including market research, requirements gathering, roadmap planning, development, and product launch.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure product alignment with customer demands and market trends and meet the quality, functionality, and reliability standards required for mining operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on cloud technologies, architectures, and best practices.
  • Regularly interact with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and adjust product strategies accordingly.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the company.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud deployment and usage.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
Knowledge and Experience - Required:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of total experience (5+ years of experience in product management, and 3+ years of experience on cloud and infrastructure platforms).
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, trends, and architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Good understanding of IoT ecosystems and how they can be effectively supported and optimized through cloud technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge and Experience - Desired:
  • Certification with AWS, Azure and/or GCP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the mining industry or related domains is a plus.
  • Experience and/or certification with Pragmatic Marketing is a plus.
  • Experience and/or certification with SAFe framework is a plus.
Travel:
  • Travel may be required occasionally.
