Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be leading the technical support of a  large IT program under a new contract vehicle. Day to day tasks will require blending knowledge of Air Force IT enterprise, software development and IT services, and PMO support with leading-edge technical capabilities. We are seeking a respected leader who demonstrates domain expertise, proactive contract management, excellent communication skills, and aligns with our company's core values. Tasks may include assisting with:

  • Managing a large technical team to assist the Air Force in the development and modernization of mission applications to support Command and Control.
  • Leading the planning, execution, and closure of Agile software projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards. 
  • Allocating resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and technology, to support project objectives and deliverables.
  • Interacting with all stakeholders on the program, including engineers, developers, other vendors/contractors, security, and executive level sponsors.
  • Monitoring project progress and performance, conducting regular reviews and assessments to ensure adherence to software development standards and best practices.
  • Updating and maintaining project management artifacts, such as risk registers, budgets, and staffing plans.
  • Communicating effectively in written and verbal formats, addressing client needs, and contributing to the development of a business vision while managing implementation efforts.
  • Recruiting and training exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within the program’s scope.
  • Holding regular technical team meetings to address questions or challenges regarding projects.
  • Traveling to additional program sites across the country as required (less than 20%).

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience managing large, complex IT programs and technical teams for DoD or other Federal Agencies
  • Experience supporting AFLMC Command and Control program
  • Project Management Professional Certification(s)
  • Knowledge and understanding of US Air Force Agile development and DevSecOps best practices as defined by DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design and other authoritative guidance.  
  • Strong customer service, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management processes, strategies, and methods
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing rising talent in the broader IT industry
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with experience guiding others in these areas
  • Strong sense of personal accountability in decision-making and supervising department teams
  • MA/MS degree in a technical or business field
  • US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or higher level clearance

In addition to the above qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess the following leadership and cultural fit qualities:

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior Air Force leaders and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management and proactive identification of potential risks or challenges
  • Adept at fostering a positive work environment and aligning with Dark Wolf Solutions' core values
  • A team player with an outgoing demeanor, able to seamlessly integrate into our company culture and contribute to both our and the customer’s collaborative work environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the US Air Force software factories 
  • Knowledge and understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes infrastructure, and typical tools in a pipeline including SAST/DAST, dependency checkers, unit testing frameworks, and code quality checkers
  • Experience with architectural solutions for multi-region hybrid infrastructure (on-prem and commercial cloud)

This position is a hybrid role in Boston, MA and will require as needed travel.

The expected salary range for this position is between $190,000.00 - $220,000.00, commensurate on experience.
