About Subzero Labs

Subzero Labs is building Rialo - a programmable network that brings the real-world internet onchain, without the clunky UX of today’s blockchain apps.

Our mission is to make decentralized applications feel fast, familiar, and reliable - for developers, fintechs, and everyday users.

We’re backed by Pantera Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Variant, and more. Our team includes builders from Mysten Labs, Diem, Apple, Netflix, and Google.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager who drives focus, execution, and engineering excellence. You’ll coordinate projects across teams, streamline communication, and ensure we ship high-quality work on time.

You’ve likely been an engineer yourself — you understand modern development workflows, anticipate blockers, and help teams stay aligned and productive. You bring structure without bureaucracy and care deeply about quality, clarity, and continuous improvement.

You believe in the power of AI to enhance how teams build and in staying close to users to create real impact. This role is key to keeping our engineering organization running smoothly and delivering world-class products.

What You’ll Do
Project & Technical Execution
  • Lead technical planning and delivery across core engineering projects — from infrastructure to developer-facing tools.

  • Coordinate timelines, milestones, and dependencies across engineering, product, and leadership to keep initiatives on track.

  • Write clear requirements (PRDs), manage the backlog, and ensure priorities stay aligned with company goals.

  • Drive on-time delivery of high-quality systems, tools, and product experiences.

  • Surface and communicate project status, risks, and blockers early — and work proactively to resolve them.

  • Establish and refine lightweight processes that improve focus, accountability, and execution velocity.

  • Champion engineering excellence by promoting clarity, documentation, and continuous improvement in how we build.

  • Leverage AI and modern tooling to improve coordination, tracking, and development workflows.

Strategic Impact
  • Define and uphold what great technical execution looks like at Rialo.

  • Act as the connective tissue between engineering, product, and leadership to ensure alignment and momentum.

  • Identify areas for optimization and help teams scale with quality and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For
  • 2–5 years of experience in project or technical program management roles, ideally within high-scale infrastructure or data-focused organizations.

  • Prior experience as a software engineer, ideally within infrastructure, data systems, or Web3 environments.

  • Deep understanding of developer workflows and technical team dynamics — you know what helps engineers move fast and build with quality.

  • Exceptional communication and organization skills — you can write clearly, align teams, and use AI tools to amplify your impact.

  • Comfort operating in technical, fast-moving ecosystems like crypto, open source, or modern dev tooling.

  • Familiarity with the platforms where developers live — GitHub, Discord, Telegram, and beyond.

  • High degree of AI fluency — you actively use AI to boost productivity, automate workflows, and streamline coordination.

  • A bias for clarity, learning, and iteration — you listen closely, move quickly, and optimize as you go.

Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with Rust, TypeScript, or blockchain-oriented SDKs.

  • Experience managing or contributing to developer tools, CLIs, or internal documentation systems.

  • Proven ability to run or support technical community initiatives — such as hackathons, technical workshops, or ambassador programs.

  • Experience working across distributed teams and time zones in high-growth, technical environments.

Why Join Us
  • Support engineering teams building the foundation of a high-performance, real-world crypto network

  • Work alongside founders and engineers from Diem, Mysten Labs, Google, and Netflix

  • Help shape how teams operate, ship, and scale

  • Early-stage equity + token upside

  • Remote-first culture with high-trust, high-context collaboration

Benefits
  • Competitive salary + token allocation

  • Health, dental, and vision (for U.S. employees)

  • Flexible PTO + company recharge days

  • Home office + equipment stipend

  • Travel support for offsites, conferences, and team events

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
