As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will act as the technical backbone of our sales team, supporting the promotion and sale of GreenPowerMonitor’s portfolio of hardware and software solutions for monitoring and managing renewable energy assets. You will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, design tailored solutions, and ensure seamless integration of our products into their operations.
What Will You Do?
•    Serve as the technical point of contact during the sales process, providing detailed product demonstrations and technical presentations,
•    Analyze customer requirements and translate them into optimized system configurations and proposals including technical specifications and drawings,
•    Ensure proposals are technically feasible and properly handed over to execution teams for successful implementation,
•    Collaborate with the Sales Business Developers to prepare accurate techno-commercial offers and quotations that meet operational and financial needs,
•    Support contract negotiations by clarifying technical aspects and ensuring feasibility of proposed solutions,
•    Maintain deep knowledge of GPM’s hardware and software portfolio,
•    Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer insights and market trends,
•    Prepare AutoCAD drawings to capture the customer needs and setup our execution staff for success. 
•    Represent GPM at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, delivering technical presentations and engaging with stakeholders.

    For California, Washington, New York, Washington, D.C., Illinois, and Maryland: “DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. For the states of California, Washington, New York, Washington, D.C., Illinois, and Maryland only, the starting pay range for this role is $87,000-150,000.

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:

  • Educational background in Engineering/technical Fields
  • Bachelors degree in technical area of study 
  • Experience in technical sales, project engineering, or solution design within the renewable energy or power industry
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy systems (solar, wind, storage) and associated monitoring/control technologies
  • An excellent listener that is curious and is able to ask the questions that bring clarity
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient at technical drawing using AutoCAD or equivalent tool
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-centric mindset
  • Growth mindset and ability to learn and grow from challenges
  • Willingness to travel within the region for customer meetings and industry events
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
