Microsoft's Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI!

CSCP's vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

Within CSCP Strategy and Transformation (S&T) Process Engineering, the newly established S&T PMO (Project Management Office) aims to transform project delivery into a smooth, repeatable experience.

The Technical Solution Manager will help us achieve our goal of enhancing transparency during project execution by fostering strategic relationships with key customers and partners. Success depends on collaboration, contributions, and buy-in from stakeholders across S&T functions, CSCP, and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Implement core learning programs and continuously improve content through feedback and data analysis.
  • Develop and manage learning programs and initiatives by identifying organizational needs, securing resources, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Use data to prioritize analyses, define capability gaps, and execute learning priorities through a learner-centric approach.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders to represent their learning-related needs.
  • Understand skilling needs related to key initiatives and development opportunities by working effectively with subject matter experts.
  • Develop training to increase the organization's skills and abilities by implementing Microsoft standard approach (tools and frameworks) for for development.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience of end-to-end instructional design process for both online and instructor-led training.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with the Microsoft Learning ecosystem.
  • Experience with training development tools (Articulate, Vyond, Clipchamp, Camtasia, PowerPoint).
  • Project or program management certification(s).
  • Talent Development certification: Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD).
  • Effective written and Interpersonal skills; communicate effectively and concisely with stakeholders and organizational leaders about our programs and objectives.

Technical Solution Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
