Senior IT Specialist (SAP) Job Summary:

Teknik Alüminyum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Specialist – SAP to support and optimize SAP operations across the business. This role will serve as a key technical and functional expert responsible for SAP system stability, continuous improvement, integrations, user support, and business process optimization across manufacturing and corporate functions.

The ideal candidate has strong SAP expertise in an industrial/manufacturing environment, can work cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Production, and Sales teams, and can lead SAP-related projects including upgrades, rollouts, and process enhancements.

Senior IT Specialist (SAP) Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary SAP expert for day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor SAP system performance, identify risks, and implement proactive improvements.
  • Ensure SAP availability, reliability, and business continuity.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Support and optimize SAP modules such as: Materials Management, Production Planning, Sales & Distribution, Finance & Controlling, Quality Management, and Plant Maintenance.
  • Improve workflows and automate processes to increase operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate SAP integrations with: MES / production systems, warehouse and logistics tools, CRM systems, and BI/reporting platforms.
  • Work closely with SAP Basis, ABAP developers, and external consultants.
  • Support IDoc, RFC, API-based integrations depending on the system architecture.
  • Lead or support SAP-related projects including new module implementations, system upgrades and patches, process redesign and harmonization, and master data improvements.
  • Manage vendor relationships and external SAP service providers.
  • Provide training and support for SAP end users across departments.
  • Develop and maintain SAP documentation including SOPs, process maps, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Promote best practices and proper SAP usage across the organization.
  • Support SAP role-based access control and user authorization processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and external audit requirements.
  • Participate in IT governance and cybersecurity initiatives impacting SAP.

Senior IT Specialist (SAP) Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting SAP in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP modules and cross-module processes.
  • Proven experience with SAP troubleshooting, process optimization, and user support.
  • Fluency in English and Turkish (spoken and written) is required.
  • Ability to work with multi-department stakeholders.

Senior IT Specialist (SAP) Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP PP/MM/SD/FI/CO).
  • Experience in aluminum, metals, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
  • Experience with SAP implementation/rollout projects.
  • Familiarity with: SAP Fiori, SAP BW / reporting tools, Power BI, and MES integrations.
