About Vori

Vori is transforming the future of the $1T grocery industry through an integrated operating system designed for independent and regional grocers.

We’re a rapidly growing fintech + vertical AI startup backed by top investors, providing cutting-edge point of sale (POS), payment processing, and inventory management solutions that empower retailers to thrive in a world dominated by retail giants like Walmart and Amazon.

Our mission is simple but bold — reduce food waste, improve food access, and strengthen local communities. By connecting retailers, distributors, and brands through technology, we’re helping grocers operate smarter, faster, and more sustainably.

The Role

We’re looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Territory Account Executive (TAE) to help us build out new markets and bring an entire industry online for the first time.

As a TAE, you’ll be the face of Vori in the field — pulling doors, meeting store owners, and running the full sales cycle from prospecting to close. You’ll partner directly with independent grocery operators and local market leaders to show them how Vori’s AI-driven platform can modernize their operations, improve margins, and future-proof their business.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-impact sales team where every deal you close directly helps a small business compete and thrive.

What You’ll Do
  • Prospect and open new business: Pull doors, make cold calls, and conduct in-person meetings with grocery owners, managers, and operators in your assigned territory.

  • Run the full sales cycle: From lead generation to demo, proposal, negotiation, and close — you’ll own your pipeline end-to-end.

  • Build and manage territory plans: Use HubSpot CRM to track activity, forecast results, and report on KPIs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term success.

  • Be a market expert: Understand local grocery dynamics, competition, and trends to help shape Vori’s go-to-market strategy.

  • Represent the brand: Be the trusted local face of Vori, embodying our mission to empower community grocers through technology.

What You Bring
  • Experience in field sales or business development, ideally selling technology, POS systems, payments, or services to grocery or retail businesses.

  • A strong track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a full-cycle sales environment.

  • Proven ability to cold call, generate leads, and close deals with limited supervision.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset — self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous, startup environments.

  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

  • Tech-savvy and organized, with proficiency in CRM tools like HubSpot (preferred).

  • Background in or passion for the grocery industry is a major plus (experience as a cashier, buyer, store director, IT lead, or vendor is highly valued).

  • Minimal travel required; majority of activity will be within your local territory.

Bonus Points For
  • Experience selling in a high-growth startup environment.

  • Prior exposure to AI-driven SaaS or fintech platforms.

  • Familiarity with independent grocery or CPG ecosystems.

Why Join Vori
  • Be part of a mission-driven startup tackling one of the most essential and under-served industries in America.

  • Equity ownership – participate in the upside as we grow.

  • Collaborative, fast-paced culture that rewards curiosity, initiative, and results.

  • Opportunity to build your territory from the ground up and shape the future of Vori’s go-to-market motion.

Active Territories

We are actively hiring Territory Account Executives in the following markets:

  • Seattle, WA

  • Portland, OR

  • Boise, ID

  • Missoula, MT

Each region represents a key growth hub for Vori’s expansion across the Pacific Northwest. Candidates in these markets will play a vital role in establishing Vori’s footprint and scaling our local partnerships with independent grocery operators.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
