About the Role

We are seeking a Territory Sales Representative to manage and grow an established customer base across Southwest Louisiana and Southern Mississippi.

You’ll work directly with retail pharmacy customers and key decision-makers, serving as a trusted partner and resource for their businesses. Most of your time will be spent in the field building relationships, understanding customer needs, solving problems, and connecting customers with the right resources and solutions.

Pharmaceutical or pharmacy industry experience is strongly preferred and will be highly valuable in this role. We’ll also consider candidates with strong territory or account management experience who have demonstrated the ability to learn a complex industry quickly, build credibility with business owners, and develop lasting customer relationships.

Travel & Territory: This is a field-based role supporting customers throughout Southern Louisiana and Southern Mississippi. Regular travel is an important part of the role, with most travel occurring by car and occasional overnight stays.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of retail pharmacy customers across the territory
  • Build a consistent presence with customers through regular in-person visits, proactive communication, and follow-through
  • Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s business, identify opportunities to strengthen and expand the partnership, and prospect for new business where opportunities exist
  • Serve as a trusted resource, helping customers navigate questions, challenges, and opportunities
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and other internal teams to resolve issues and deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Stay current on pharmacy operations, market dynamics, Morris & Dickson offerings, and the competitive landscape
  • Plan and manage territory activity effectively, balancing customer priorities, travel, follow-up, and growth opportunities
  • Maintain accurate customer and territory information and provide regular updates on activity and opportunities
  • Represent Morris & Dickson at industry events, customer meetings, and local networking opportunities

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or pharmacy sales, distribution, account management, or a related industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing customer relationships, accounts, or a geographic territory
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to establish credibility with business owners and key decision-makers
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong follow-through
  • Understanding of pharmacy dispensing and workflow processes, or the ability to build that knowledge quickly and apply it to customer needs
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a geographically dispersed territory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn CRM and other business systems
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory, primarily by car, with occasional overnight travel

What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; HRA, HSA, and FSA options; life and disability insurance; generous paid time off and holidays; a 401(k) with company match; fitness reimbursement; and access to an employee assistance program.

Why Join Us

We take pride in our history, but we’re building for the future and that means investing in people who care about doing meaningful work with a strong, stable company. You’ll find growth opportunities, teammates who have your back, and leaders who support your development. When you bring your best, we make a bigger difference, together.
