Powered by award-winning cybersecurity technology, CHEQ offers the only integrated Traffic, Threat, and Identity Intelligence Engine, enabling companies to distinguish between legitimate users and bad actors - human, AI agent, or bot - and deliver granular, context-specific insights in real-time to marketing, commerce, and security platforms.

CHEQ is a global company with offices in Tel-Aviv, New York, London and Tokyo.

We are a fast-paced, technology-driven team where everyone's contribution impacts product success.

We are seeking a highly analytical and customer-facing Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our Premium Support organization.

This role sits at the intersection of data, fraud research, product intelligence, and customer strategy.

The ideal candidate is deeply curious, technically strong, comfortable engaging with senior customer stakeholders, and passionate about uncovering how sophisticated threats operate across digital ecosystems.

In this role, you will partner closely with Customer Success, Fraud Research, Data Science, and Product teams to transform detection signals into actionable intelligence.

You will help CHEQ’s strategic customers understand who is attacking them, how attacks evolve, and how CHEQ is protecting their GTM operations - while feeding critical insights back into our detection and product roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze outputs from CHEQ’s AI-powered anomaly detection and fraud prevention systems to identify emerging threats, traffic anomalies, and suspicious behavioral patterns
  • Conduct deep manual investigations into traffic spikes, invalid traffic cohorts, and novel attack behaviors to uncover attacker tactics, techniques, and patterns
  • Develop structured intelligence narratives that connect technical findings to customer risk, business impact, and value realization
  • Produce high-quality, client-facing threat intelligence deliverables, including incident analyses, investigative reports, and recurring intelligence summaries for premium customers
  • Present findings and recommendations directly to strategic customers, including senior and executive stakeholders, as part of CHEQ’s premium advisory offering
  • Partner with Fraud Research and Product teams to translate real-world threat intelligence into detection improvements, new cohorts, and roadmap insights
  • Maintain a continuous feedback loop between customer intelligence, internal detections, and product evolution
  • Build scalable investigation frameworks, reporting templates, and intelligence taxonomies to operationalize threat intelligence across CHEQ
  • Serve as a trusted internal and external advisor on emerging fraud trends, bot activity, and evolving attack methodologies impacting GTM environments
  • 3+ years of experience in threat intelligence, fraud analysis, cybersecurity analysis, digital investigations, or a highly analytical technical role
  • Programming experience required - SQL & Python are a must
  • Experience working with large-scale data sets, anomaly detection outputs, or fraud/abuse signals and translating them into clear insights
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate ambiguous scenarios, form hypotheses, and validate findings
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, including senior and executive stakeholders
  • Experience producing written intelligence reports, investigative summaries, or customer-facing analyses
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Research teams
  • Familiarity with fraud, bot mitigation, cybersecurity, or digital abuse concepts is strongly preferred
  • Technically adaptive, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly and understand how detection systems operate at scale
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and storytelling abilities
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated success operating autonomously in fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, especially in a technical, analytical, or security-related field
  • Ability to work in our NY office twice a week

What Success Looks Like in This Role?

  • You confidently lead complex investigations and turn detection signals into clear, actionable intelligence.
  • Customers understand the threats targeting them and see the tangible value of your insights.
  • Your findings directly influence detection improvements and product decisions.
  • You communicate complex technical analysis clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • You build structured, repeatable investigation processes that scale across Premium accounts.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
