As a Training Consultant at Voya, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective learning programs. This role requires a creative and technical individual who can work collaboratively with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to create high-quality educational content.
 
You will work closely with Training Specialists, Training Managers/Directors and business partners across the organization to develop training solutions that help our business partners improve results and meet their goals and objectives. Your work will directly contribute to every employee’s professional growth and have a lasting impact across the organization.

The Contributions You’ll Make:  

  • Project ownership for Workplace training initiatives.
    • Contribute to internal project execution.
    • Proactively raise and remove blockers.
    • Follow and reinforce L&D Governance and Standards
    • Competencies needed:
      • Ability to manage multiple swim lanes and resources on a project.
      • Ability to manage multiple assignments at the same time.
      • Understanding of ADKAR change management principles.
      • Ability to build and maintain relationships with leaders, key stakeholders, project sponsors.
  • Use ADDIE to implement training solutions.
    • Assess needs, Design, Development, and Implementation of effective, sustainable training programs.
    • Competencies needed:
      • Consults with business partners/leaders/stakeholders when discussing training needs. Stakeholders = L&D Leaders, Business SMEs, and Managers
      • Ability to recommend learning solutions that align with business needs.
      • Develop and present training strategy to business partners and stakeholders.
      • Excels at the fundamentals of ADDIE.
      • Ability to conduct consultative training needs conversations.
      • Intermediate to advanced skills in design and development
      • Ability to write measurable objectives and quizzes that assess knowledge per the program objectives.
  • Support organizational growth & effectiveness
    • Evaluate curricula and make recommendations on improvements that drive learner centric engagement.
    • Provide feedback, organize train the trainers and evaluate the delivery of training programs and provide coaching.
    • Facilitate training programs as needed to assess program effectiveness and role model facilitation best practices.
    • Stays up to date and shares new and innovative training approaches, technology, best in class training solutions and topics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and designing training programs.
  • Prior experience with training design and execution, instructional design, adult learning theory and deploying training through innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Camtasia, Articulate suite of products, easygenerator or other course authoring and simulation tools experience. 
  • Articulate, persuasive communication across multiple organizational levels; ability to analyze and communicate the “big picture” to others. 
  • Highly self-motivated and self-managed; ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal coaching or supervision.
  • Proficient computer skills needed, including MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint. 

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience with AI/NLP simulation products is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Insurance and Financial Services.
  • Portfolio examples may be requested.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$75,230 - $94,040 USD
