About the Company

Horizon Labs is an AI-studio focused on building AI-enabled consumer ventures. We operate like a startup factory with experienced teams, frameworks, and infrastructure and look for real-world problems that have meaningful AI solutions and focus on building within the consumer and healthcare verticals. Our model involves incubating ideas, launching startups, and scaling growth globally.

Job Description

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer Intern to help design intuitive, high-quality product experiences across our digital products. You will translate user needs into wireframes, flows, prototypes, and polished interfaces while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a relevant degree, ideally from leading universities such as NUS, NTU, or SMU, while still considering strong candidates from other institutions.

  • Strong academic performance, ideally distinction or above, alongside evidence of initiative, ownership, and high-quality execution.

  • Comfortable using AI tools beyond simple chat workflows to accelerate analysis, drafting, research, and execution.

  • High attention to detail and discipline in checking facts, requirements, and deliverables before sharing work.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Strong eye for visual design, usability, and interaction detail.

  • Portfolio demonstrating thoughtful problem solving, not just polished screens.

  • Comfort with modern design tools and the ability to present design rationale clearly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web and product experiences.

  • Work with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into clear, usable interface solutions.

  • Use AI-assisted design and research tools to speed up ideation, benchmarking, and iteration where helpful.

  • Incorporate user feedback and product goals into design improvements and prioritization decisions.

  • Help maintain consistency across components, visual systems, and interaction patterns.

Why Apply

This is a front-row seat to venture building. You will work on real startup creation problems, learn how ideas are validated and operationalized, and build judgment across strategy, product, growth, and execution.

Location

The position is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to work from wherever you choose. Whether it's the comfort of your home office, a favorite café, or a cozy corner of the world, you have the freedom to create your ideal workspace. Join our team from anywhere in the world and be part of a dynamic, interconnected community.

Start Date

Our program is adaptable: We offer ongoing recruitment, allowing internships and placements to start at any time, tailored to the student's needs.
