Position Overview
As an Underwriting Administrative Assistant, you will have experience in providing administrative support to various insurance departments, in addition to strong customer service and analytical skills. We’re looking for a candidate who:

Leveraging Differences: Works with and includes people from different backgrounds, experiences, cultures, etc…
Tasks:
- Partners with Accounting and Product teams to establish support needs for new and in force policies including accounting and product operational support.
- Follows up on premium payments, issues notices of cancellation, provides policy loss runs as requested, and solicits renewal applications.
- Manages accounts receivables functions and reconcile payment discrepancies.
- Undertakes ongoing compliance and regulatory training as required.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Delivers a positive customer experience for clients and colleagues, working effectively as part of the team.
- Supports ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications Desired:
- 1-3 years of insurance industry experience preferred
- Intermediate time management skills and ability to prioritize daily assignments
- Must be highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Advanced attention to detail
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills required to manage customer service requests, provide information to Insurance professionals and to respond to oral and written instructions
- Strong cyber security knowledge and know-how and stay ahead of emerging technology and tools
- Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) skills
Education
• Bachelor’s degree.
Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
