Due to the high volume of applicants we expect to receive for this role, we will be closing applications on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 11:59PM ET, to ensure we can review and respond to all applicants.

About the Role

As the User Acquisition Specialist at Going, you’ll play an incredibly important role in tuning our growth engine. You will focus on paid search and paid social channel management and optimization for both web and app campaigns. Management includes budget adjustments, campaign updates, briefing in new creative assets, and granular reporting. Optimization will be thoughtfully handled via data-backed creative experimentation and hypothesis driven testing across channels and audiences. You’ll juggle multiple tests at once, thrive on rapid feedback loops, and keep immaculate UTMs and naming conventions so that no learning is lost. It is a non-negotiable that you love data, taking numbers from a spreadsheet and turning them into a story.

In this fully remote role, your mission isn’t just “running ads.” You are building defensibility through paid channels and creating a feedback system that informs product, influences organic social, and fuels our first touch opportunity with people looking to score incredible flight deals.

We’re looking for a creative, analytically minded operator who can scale campaigns, spot patterns in the noise, and share ideas with the same enthusiasm you bring to getting the trip out of the group chat. You are someone who is naturally curious and you want to get to the bottom of something that puzzles you because it’s an opportunity to learn and grow.

This role is for a paid advertising specialist looking to take their base knowledge to the next level by working in-house with a growth manager that directly manages SEO, affiliates, app store optimization, lifecycle, and product. This is an opportunity for career growth in a startup where what you put in is what you get out.

You’ll report to the Director of Growth Marketing and collaborate daily with our Creative, Product, Lifecycle, and Data teams.

In the short term, you will
  • Familiarize yourself with campaign structure across all channels and determine necessary changes to optimize the overall effectiveness of each channel.

  • Form a comprehensive, data-focused perspective on the performance of each channel.

  • Manage budgets across all channels.

  • Achieve a deep understanding of our internal processes, such as asset requests and pulling data/building reports.

In the long term, you will
  • Hypothesize, test, and optimize channels to improve campaign performance and scale, ultimately driving down CAC and acquiring high LTV customers.

  • Design and implement a comprehensive testing process for exploring new channels, creative approaches, and landing page strategies.

  • Work collaboratively with partners from various departments such as product to maximize the learnings and impact of paid ad experiments.

  • Develop aggregated reports on channel and campaign performance to provide an integrated view of our paid ad landscape and its impact on business goals.

What you know

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience managing paid search and paid social across web and mobile apps.

  • Knowledge of SKAN and MMPs — this also includes web or SRN attribution models to track and measure the effectiveness of campaigns and engagement.

  • Experience with hypothesis-driven experimentation and data-backed decision making.

  • Proven ability to build reports to aid in channel optimization in Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Effective communication skills for sharing insights and results to cross-functional teams.

  • Proven understanding of customer acquisition within a global B2C organization with profitable unit economics.

  • Experience handling multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality, error-free outcomes.

  • You’re able to work US hours, ideally with optimal overlap with east coast time.

  • You’re legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred:

  • An emerging or established understanding of the travel industry, with a desire to deepen this knowledge. Bonus points for those already familiar with the nuances and trends of the travel sector.

  • Proficiency in creating and optimizing landing pages, particularly with tools like Unbounce. Ability to design landing pages that effectively convert visitors, reflecting an understanding of user experience and conversion optimization.

  • Comfortable using data visualization tools like QuickSight, tagging tools like Google Tag Manager, design tools like Figma, MMPs like AppsFlyer, or data aggregation tools like Funnel.io.

Who you’ll work with
  • You will report to Forrest Schaffer (Director, Growth Marketing)

  • The greater marketing team across lifecycle, PR, and social

  • Product teams for onboarding

  • Data teams for structuring data

Why you might love working here
  • The salary for this role is $62,000 + equity

  • 100% remote work environment

  • Annual team retreats, with past destinations including Washington D.C., Vancouver, and Mexico City. We’re heading to Scottsdale in October and will be excited to meet you there!

  • Open vacation policy, with a 15-day minimum

  • Comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance

  • 401(k) with a 5% match

  • $750/quarter remote work, wellness, and wisdom stipend

  • Up to 12 weeks of paid family leave

  • Meetup stipend when you cross paths with a co-worker

  • Continuing education & development reimbursement

  • Challenging problems to solve and an awesome team to collaborate with every single day

We want you to bring your authentic self to work every single day. We accept you for who you are and consider everyone on an equal opportunity basis without regard to ancestry; age; appearance; color; gender identity and/or expression; genetics; family or parental status; marital, civil union, or domestic partnership status; mental, physical, or sensory disability; national, social or ethnic origin; past or present military service; sexual orientation; socioeconomic status; race; religion or belief; hair length; organ donor status.
