Arlo is seeking a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. This role will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and plays a critical role in driving disciplined growth, margin expansion, and long-range value creation.
As Arlo continues to lead the market in leveraging AI to enhance customer experience and product innovation, this role will ensure that Finance operates with the same level of sophistication and forward-thinking capability. In addition to traditional FP&A leadership, this role will champion the modernization of the finance function through advanced analytics and AI-enabled capabilities. The VP of FP&A will be expected to lead the transformation toward predictive, driver-based planning, enhanced scenario modeling, and real-time performance insights. The successful candidate will further position Finance as a forward-looking, data-driven decision engine for the company.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in subscription and/or SaaS business models, paired with a strong understanding of hardware economics and supply chain dynamics. Executive presence, business partnership, and influencing skills are critical, as this role will regularly interact with the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Lead annual operating plan (AOP), long-range planning (LRP), and rolling forecast processes.
  • Develop driver-based financial models across subscription, hardware, and international operations.
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic investments and capital allocation decisions.
  • Support earnings preparation, investor communications, and Board reporting.

Business Partnership & Executive Influence

  • Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership across Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Engineering.
  • Translate business strategy into financial frameworks and actionable KPIs.
  • Provide forward-looking insights on revenue growth, gross margin trends, operating leverage, and cash flow.
  • Influence decision-making at the executive level through data-driven analysis and clear storytelling.

Subscription & Revenue Analytics

  • Drive ARR forecasting, cohort analysis, and unit economics (LTV/CAC).
  • Analyze front-book vs. back-book performance and pricing strategies.
  • Partner with Product and GTM teams to optimize recurring revenue growth.

Hardware & Supply Chain Finance

  • Analyze hardware gross margin, COGS, inventory management, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Evaluate channel performance and product-level profitability.

Team Leadership & Process Excellence

  • Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A organization.
  • Enhance planning systems, tools, and data analytics capabilities.
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled forecasting, scenario modeling, and performance analytics to improve speed, accuracy, and insight generation.
  • Champion automation and intelligent reporting solutions to reduce manual processes and accelerate decision support.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and accelerate reporting cadence.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making across the finance organization.
  • Establish strong governance and controls around financial data, modeling integrity, and AI-enabled processes.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with 5+ years in senior FP&A leadership.
  • Experience in subscription, SaaS, or recurring revenue business models required.
  • Exposure to hardware, supply chain, or product-driven businesses strongly preferred.
  • Public company experience and familiarity with earnings cadence and investor expectations.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional leaders.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling expertise.
  • Travel required to Milpitas office 1-2 days per week with occasional travel to Irvine office and international travel twice per year

Location & Travel Requirements

  • Regular on-site presence in the Milpitas office (1–2 days per week), with occasional travel to the Irvine office and international travel approximately twice per year.

The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between USD$300,000-320,000/year.  However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience.
