What You’ll Do

Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Design and execute Compass’s enterprise sourcing strategy across supplies, implants, and capital equipment

  • Lead complex contract negotiations (MSA, PSA, and implant/PPI agreements) that include pricing protections, rebates, warranties, and performance guarantees

  • Partner with Clinical and Revenue Cycle leadership to align implant strategies with reimbursement dynamics and payer expectations

  • Define and measure enterprise procurement KPIs tied to cost, quality, and supply chain reliability

Standardization & Value Optimization

  • Lead system-wide value analysis efforts that balance physician preference with financial stewardship and patient outcomes

  • Drive standardization across categories, targeting >90% on-contract spend and measurable cost-per-case improvement across priority procedures

  • Partner with clinical leaders to achieve alignment on product rationalization, conversion plans, and change management.

Vendor & GPO Management

  • Maximize GPO performance, including tier optimization, local overlays, rebate capture, and contract compliance

  • Build and maintain strong executive relationships with distributor and manufacturer partners to ensure reliable supply, innovation access, and pricing stability

  • Oversee quarterly vendor scorecards, business reviews, and performance improvement plans.

Supply Chain Data, Systems & P2P Enablement

  • Oversee implementation of scalable procurement systems and analytics to enable reliable purchasing, compliance, and insight generation

  • Improve data integrity (item master, price files, EDI, 3-way match) and raise PO compliance across all centers

  • Partner with Finance and Operations to strengthen end-to-end visibility from sourcing through payment

Cross-Functional Partnership & Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to Clinical Operations, OR leadership, Finance, and Legal on procurement policy, budgeting, and vendor strategy

  • Publish actionable dashboards, savings reports, and site-level scorecards to drive accountability and transparency

  • Lead and mentor a growing procurement and supply chain team; foster a culture of excellence, discipline, and partnership

What You’ll Bring
  • 10–15+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership in healthcare (ASC, surgical, or hospital systems)

  • Proven success leading enterprise procurement strategy with demonstrated cost savings, process standardization, and stakeholder alignment

  • Expertise negotiating high-value contracts (implants, PPIs, GPOs, MSAs, PSAs) and managing vendor relationships at scale

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical capability (cost-per-case analysis, PPV, rebate capture, savings pipeline)

  • Deep familiarity with GPO structures, rebate models, and distributor/manufacturer contracting

  • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP/P2P systems and data tools

  • Exceptional executive presence and negotiation skills; able to influence senior physicians, vendors, and internal leaders alike

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams in multi-site healthcare or MSO environments

  • Preferred: CMRP or equivalent certification; prior experience integrating procurement functions during rapid growth or consolidation.
