Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The VP, Product Management, Digital Banking is accountable for the strategy, execution, and market competitiveness of CSI’s digital banking product portfolio. This role sets the product vision across the Digital Banking platform, leads a product team, and ensures the portfolio drives new revenue opportunities while removing friction from the sales process. The VP partners closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and executive leadership to deliver a roadmap that is commercially viable, operationally disciplined, and positioned to win in the community and regional banking market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns the product vision and multi-year strategy for the Digital Banking portfolio, aligning direction with CSI’s corporate strategy and the evolving needs of community and regional banks.

  • Ensures the product portfolio is competitively positioned to enable new bookings and support logo retention—identifying and closing feature or capability gaps that create sales friction or client attrition risk.

  • Represents CSI as an executive thought leader at industry events, client advisory boards, and analyst engagements.

  • Directs product roadmap development across the Digital Banking platform, ensuring appropriate depth and fidelity across planning horizons (trusted, planned, and horizon).

  • Accountable for on-time, on-quality delivery of committed product releases—owning escalation and resolution when commitments are at risk.

  • Maintains operational discipline across the product portfolio: backlog health, commercialization readiness, and cross-team alignment.

  • Oversees the full product lifecycle, including sunset planning for legacy platforms.

  • Leads Digital Banking’s role in major cross-functional platform initiatives, including core-to-digital integrations, commercial banking platform delivery, and migration programs.

  • Ensures Digital Banking achieves and maintains required compliance posture (e.g., PCI, SOC 2, FFIEC guidance) in coordination with Security, Engineering, and Risk.

  • Champions a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging experimentation with emerging tools and methods that accelerate product delivery.

  • Leads, develops, and scales a high-performing product organization.

  • Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-centricity across the product team.

  • Partners with Sales leadership to rapidly address competitive gaps and client escalations at the product level.

  • Provides executive stakeholders with portfolio-level reporting on roadmap progress, delivery health, and strategic risks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 12+ years of progressive product management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (manager-of-managers level).

  • Proven track record in FinTech or Digital Banking—deep understanding of the community and regional bank market.

  • Experience leading product strategy across a multi-product portfolio in a complex, matrixed organization.

  • Track record of delivering large-scale platform migrations or transformation programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to connect product strategy to commercial outcomes—enabling revenue growth without direct P&L ownership.

  • Experience driving technology-enabled productivity improvements within a product or technology organization.

Travel

  • Moderate travel required (up to 25%), including client events, industry conferences, and executive engagements.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
