Job Details:

The Vice President, Provider Sales – New Markets, is responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy for the home infusion and specialty pharmacy business lines; oversees, hires and trains the internal and external sales teams and is responsible for revenue growth of the organization; is responsible for analyzing and managing data to ensure a pertinent strategic plan is executed in cooperation with operations to ensure business success.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs sales functions for infusion and specialty pharmacy for area of responsibility leading to successful achievement of strategic goals

  • Is responsible for the success of sellers in hierarchy, including hiring, training, development, corrective action

  • Develops sales budget for infusion and specialty pharmacy for regions of responsibility considering revenue trends, growth potential, and strategic goals of the organization

  • Build and implements commissions plans and other incentive programs

  • Analyzes trends and current business activity and modifies sales plans as needed

  • Manages inside sales function for lead generation

  • Ensures new admissions, net revenue and gross profit goals are met through the integration of sales and operational plans

  • Achieves budgeted targets

  • Ensures continued revenue growth through strategic expansion of service area and implementation of creative sales programs

  • Assesses and reports competitive sales activities, assists in developing and implementing competitive strategies with a focus on market potential and opportunity

  • Identifies, develops and implements marketing strategies for new services

  • Provides proper orientation and ongoing sales training for sellers and internal sales staff

  • Maximize field sales time by spending at least 50% of the time in the field

  • Participates and assists sellers in planning for sales calls, educational sessions, and trade shows/sponsorships of events

  • Works collaboratively with account management team

  • Performs in accordance with companywide competencies/behaviors

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Educational and Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field required; master’s degree preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in the home infusion or infusion suite space

  • 10+ years in direct sales or sales management calling on physicians, hospitals and health systems

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with exceptional business acumen

  • Strong leadership and presentation skills

  • Must independently prioritize job responsibilities, exercise discretion, and demonstrate initiative

  • Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office Products, including Excel and CRM programs required
