The Vice President of Talent Acquisition is a senior enterprise leader and member of the People Leadership Team responsible for delivering a highly effective, efficient, and data-driven talent acquisition function at national scale. This role leads a team of 200+ teammates who deliver approximately 15,000 hires annually across frontline caregiver, corporate, leadership and executive roles. 

This leader will set strategy, drive execution, and continuously improve how DaVita attracts, hires, and onboards teammates, ensuring the right teammates are in the right roles at the right time to support exceptional patient care. 

This role will establish strong operating rhythms, governance, and stakeholder partnership models to ensure clarity, alignment, and accountability across the enterprise hiring process. 

Core Responsibilities 

Enterprise Talent Acquisition Strategy 

  • Design and execute DaVita’s enterprise talent acquisition strategy to support workforce stability and long-term business outcomes. 
  • Partner with senior executives, clinical leaders, operations and HR business partners to align hiring strategies with workforce plans and evolving care models. 
  • Anticipate labor market trends and proactively address risks through innovative sourcing and hiring solutions. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by setting clear expectations and driving resolution when priorities shift 

Team Leadership 

  • Foster growth and development across all levels of the Talent Acquisition team.  
  • Encourage strong performance while creating a special place for Talent Acquisition teammates. 
  • Strengthen a culture of accountability and transparency while effectively guiding teams and stakeholders through complex dynamics and high expectations 

Operational Excellence at Scale 

  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness across recruiting operations, balancing speed, quality, cost, and candidate experience. 
  • Standardize processes while enabling flexibility to meet local and clinical market needs. 
  • Strengthen DaVita’s employer brand across clinical, leadership, and executive talent pools. 
  • Own enterprise agency strategy, vendor governance, and spend optimization to reduce dependency on external recruiting partners and improve internal capability 

Analytics, Insights & Continuous Improvement 

  • Own and evolve TA analytics and reporting to drive transparency and performance. 
  • Translate insights into action through continuously refining strategies, processes, and resource allocation. 

Technology & Innovation 

  • Oversee recruiting technology, systems, and vendor partnerships to ensure scalability, automation, and efficiency. 
  • Leverage technology, including AI, to drive efficiency and effectiveness across recruiting capability. 

Key Qualifications & Capabilities  

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 15+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition or similar leadership experience 
  • Proven experience leading large, complex Talent Acquisition or similar organizations  
  • Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with senior-level stakeholders to drive results 
  • Demonstrated success in high-volume hiring environments (10,000+ hires annually) 
  • Strong track record of using analytics to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and business impact 
  • Experience leading TA transformation or large-scale change initiatives with measurable, demonstrable results 
  • Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to influence and align senior leaders in complex, high-pressure situations 
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining operational stability and consistent delivery excellence

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.

The Salary Range for the role is $200,000.00 - $292,000.00 per year.

 

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.63/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
