PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $230,000 - $300,000 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Vice President of Acquisition

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As the Vice President (VP) of Acquisition at BECU, you will steer the New Member Acquisition team towards new heights, not only leading strategic efforts that drive membership growth but also pushing forward our credit card, mortgage, auto finance, personal loan, and other financial products. Your innovative strategies and dynamic leadership will ensure that every initiative you spearhead contributes significantly to our overarching goals of optimizing member acquisition and driving business growth. You will foster an environment of collaboration and empowerment, leading cross-functional teams to consistently exceed growth targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead Strategic Acquisition Initiatives: Develop and champion comprehensive strategies that align with our business goals and fuel growth. Manage the P&L for acquisition functions, set measurable KPIs, and leverage data analytics to craft targeted campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Oversee Campaigns: Create, test, and refine member acquisition campaigns to ensure they are impactful, scalable, and cost-effective.
  • Drive Digital Ecosystem Efficiency: Optimize our digital-first ecosystem. Utilize your extensive experience with digital properties including becu.org, SEM, SEO, email marketing, and proficiency with platforms like Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Manage Response Channels: Oversee direct response channels such as Direct Mail. Build channels and capabilities to support them including pre-screen, propensity models, production processes and supply chain management.
  • Utilize Data Analytics: Inform strategies with data, measure campaign effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts. Develop robust financial performance metrics like NPV and LTV and other appropriate financial performance foundations to make effective investment decisions.
  • Enhance Marketing Processes: Streamline marketing processes and boost efficiency using top tools like Salesforce and Adobe Target.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with Risk, Analytics, Product Development, and Compliance departments to align acquisition strategies with broader business goals and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and Coach Team Members: Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities for your staff. Conduct timely performance evaluations and give constructive feedback to encourage their growth.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience:10 years of people leadership experience.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in customer acquisition and/or marketing leadership roles, with at least 5 years in the financial services industry.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Location/travel: Preference is someone living in Seattle; however, this job can be remote or hybrid with the ability to travel up between 25%- 50% to Seattle.
  • Advanced degree: Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
  • Mindset: Strong strategic and analytical thinking with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Team Leadership: Proven track record of leading and motivating teams, driving cross-functional collaboration, and delivering measurable results.
  • Data Driven: Proficient in using data analytics and customer insights to optimize acquisition campaigns.
  • Budget Manager: Experience managing large-scale budgets and achieving financial targets related to customer acquisition.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to present complex strategies and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
