DUTIES: Responsible for 1D component and system level analysis to lead engine, transmission, and electrification system designs, including development of new and existing procedures for electrified and conventional powertrains, as well as translating new technologies into product applications. Conceptualize, build, and exercise analytical component and system level
models for electrified and conventional propulsion systems using 1D software tools including Amesim, GT-SUITE, MATLAB, and Simulink. Provide design recommendations to Design Responsible Engineers based on interpretation of analysis results. Enhance current standard analysis practices and tools to improve prediction fidelity and execution speed. Interface with analysis counterparts across several VDDV teams representing global propulsion systems and vehicle engineering. Participate in product design and development team meetings and regularly present analysis results to engineering peers and management. Document analysis objectives, results, and conclusions using standard report templates. Keep abreast of new technology trends and competitive products. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and 2 years of experience as a Computer Engineer, Analysis Engineer, or related role. Two years of experience with: Amesim and GT-SUITE. One year of experience with: MATLAB and Python; Applying 1D and 3D CFD tools to propulsion-related systems including thermal management, lubrication, crankcase ventilation, and hydraulics; and Principles of propulsion system design, operation, and testing; and Co-Simulation: SiL / HiL.
