We are looking for a skilled VB.NET Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills for debugging code, extensive experience in VB.NET development, and expertise in SQL Server and SSIS. This role requires hands-on experience with complex stored procedures, data transformation, and ETL processes.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in VB.NET development, including Windows Forms/EXE development and WCF Services
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server development, including relational modeling, complex stored procedures, and performance monitoring/analysis
  • Expertise in complex SQL operations, including joins, data aggregation, grouping, and transformation
  • Strong knowledge of transactions, temporary table utilization, and T-SQL
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL processes
  • Experience with data replication services and QLIK (preferred)
  • Familiarity with data transfer from SQL Server to other database platforms (DB2 experience is a plus)
  • Experience in data modeling, normalization, and denormalization
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting is a plus
  • Understanding of cloud technologies is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance VB.NET applications, including Windows Forms and WCF services
  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL Server stored procedures and queries
  • Implement and maintain ETL solutions using SSIS for efficient data integration
  • Perform data aggregation, transformation, and migration across multiple platforms
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficiency and scalability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions
  • Develop and maintain data replication and integration processes
  • Utilize best practices for data modeling and database design
  • Write and maintain scripts for automation and process improvements
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
