JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President, Key Accounts is responsible for leading and expanding strategic relationships with DuBois’ most critical customers in the specialty chemicals sector. This role drives revenue growth, ensures long-term customer satisfaction, and aligns internal cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that create sustained value for both the client and the company.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the commercial relationship with top-tier global and regional customers.

  • Develop multi-year strategic account plans aligned with customer and company objectives.

  • Lead senior-level customer engagements, including contract negotiations and executive business reviews.

  • Deliver against annual revenue, margin, and growth targets.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, including product expansion and innovation partnerships.

  • Partner with R&D, Technical Service, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver tailored solutions and secure customer loyalty.

  • Lead cross-functional account teams and coordinate globally when applicable.

  • Stay current on customer strategy, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting specialty chemical applications

  • Translate insights into actionable growth strategies and product development inputs.

  • Oversee commercial contracting, including pricing models, supply agreements, and risk mitigation strategies such as hedging or dual sourcing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of commercial leadership experience in specialty chemicals or a closely related industry.

  • Proven track record managing multimillion-dollar key accounts, including contract negotiation, global pricing strategy, and long-term value creation.

  • Strong understanding of value-based selling, solution development, and supply chain dynamics.

  • Executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to translate customer strategy and market trends into actionable account plans and value propositions.

  • Strong financial acumen, including pricing strategies, margin management, and cost-to-serve analysis.

  • Deep relationship-building skills, with a track record of becoming a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders.

  • Ability to anticipate customer needs, influence long-term planning, and align internal teams accordingly.

  • Experience leading global or matrixed account teams across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.

  • Proven ability to deliver against aggressive growth targets while managing complex internal and external dynamics.

EDUCATION REQUREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
