ROLE OVERVIEW

The Vice President (VP) of Marketing & Communications at Nest Health will lead the organization’s strategic efforts to grow and evolve its brand, messaging, and engagement across all audiences: families, payers, investors, employers, and talent. The VP will serve as the steward of Nest’s story as the company scales, shaping how the country understands its differentiated care model and why it matters.

The VP will oversee brand strategy, executive and corporate communications, outreach strategy and performance, patient and family marketing, digital presence, product positioning, and employer branding. The VP will build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team responsible for driving growth, trust, engagement, and loyalty across Nest’s markets. The VP is Nest's chief storyteller — responsible for ensuring that one coherent, mission-driven narrative translates powerfully across every audience Nest serves: families, payers, investors, partners, and talent. As Nest scales into new markets and adds new programs, this role ensures the story grows without fracturing

The VP will be accountable for outreach strategy, organizational design, performance management, operational effectiveness, and shared responsibility for achieving monthly outreach and engagement targets across markets.

This role serves as the company’s senior-most steward of brand, narrative, and communications strategy across families, payers, investors, employers, policymakers, and talent audiences. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
